Burr Cook is a Board Registered Interventionist (BRI/1) credentialed by the Association of Intervention Specialist Credentialing Board (AISCB) and a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Recovery Specialist (CAS). Burr’s experience with family interventions began while working as a nurse. Burr Cook is a graduate of the Los Angeles County –USC School of Nursing (LVN), Saddleback College, (R.N.) and the University of Irvine Medical Center’s Critical Care Nursing program, (CCRN).
Throughout his 17 year career as a nurse Burr was frequently called upon to perform crises interventions on families experiencing severe reactions to having a loved one that was critically, or terminally ill. Working with families in an extreme state of fear, anger, frustration, hopelessness, grief and sometimes rage was “something I had a talent for” admits Burr. This skill was not lost on supervisors and directors, who regularly asked Burr to work with families in crises. Please call me at (888) 413-3033 or visit my web site above for more information.
