Beacon Family Center Forty years and 15,000 teenagers later, Beacon Youth and Family Center bears little resemblance to the original organization with the judicial sounding name. In the decades since Beacon Center’s genesis, our community has grown in population and complexity as has the need for quality mental health treatment. Beacon Center has kept pace with the changes and has evolved from treating teens in a residential setting to including a community program that counsels youth with the input and/or participation of family members. Additionally, a private pay program has been instituted for those in the community seeking mental health counseling on an affordable fee-for-service basis.
